Operations software built by someone who has done the work

Every contractor we meet runs at least one critical process on a spreadsheet that only one person understands. We replace it with software that fits how your business actually works.

The problem this solves

These are not small problems. They are invisible ones, because they have always been done this way, and because the people who could fix them are either software firms who have never seen a job trailer or construction people who do not write code.

  • Submittal logs living in a shared spreadsheet that two people edit at once.
  • Closeout packages assembled by hand, three days late, on the job that already went to final billing.
  • Field data captured on paper, re-keyed in the office, wrong by the time it lands.
  • Equipment and O&M documentation scattered across email threads and a folder nobody maintains.
  • A quoting process that depends entirely on one estimator's memory.

Why us

A software firm will quote this well into six figures and spend the first six weeks learning what a submittal is. Ramos Technology Solutions is led by a mechanical engineer with an EIT, MEP design experience and applications engineering behind it. You will not be explaining your business to us — you will be correcting the details.

We price against the labor the system eliminates, not against hours. If a project manager spends eight hours a week assembling closeout packages, that is most of a full work-month every year spent on the least valuable thing he does. If we cannot show you a payback inside about eighteen months, we will tell you not to build it.

What you get

Submittal and closeout tracking

Package assembly that pulls from a structured library instead of a folder, with status by spec section and a one-click export.

Field-to-office data capture

Mobile-friendly forms that write straight into your system. No paper, no re-keying, no transcription errors.

Inventory and asset tracking

Barcode or QR-driven tracking for tools, materials and equipment across yards, trucks and jobsites.

Equipment and O&M documentation

Automated manual generation from your equipment schedule, with cut sheets, warranties and startup reports assembled for you.

Quoting and takeoff support

Structured pricing that captures how your estimator actually thinks, so a second person can produce the same number.

Inspection and compliance logging

Timestamped, photo-backed records that survive an audit and a dispute.

How it works

  1. Map the workflow

We walk the process end to end — who touches what, where it stalls, what it costs. Usually on your site, sometimes in the trailer.

  2. Scope to one workflow

One process, fixed price, fixed scope. Trying to fix everything at once is how these projects fail.

  3. Build in three-week phases

You sign off at each phase. Change orders in writing, so nobody is surprised at the end.

  4. Deploy and support

Hosting, backups and iteration on a monthly agreement. The system stays useful after launch or it was not worth building.

Common questions

How long does a custom operations tool take to build?

A single-workflow tool typically runs six to ten weeks from kickoff to deployment. Larger multi-workflow systems run three to five months. We build in three-week phases with your sign-off at each one, so you see working software early rather than a demo at the end.

What happens to the software if we stop working together?

You own it. The code, the data and the documentation are yours, and we will hand over a deployment guide so another developer can pick it up. We do not hold systems hostage through proprietary hosting.

Can it connect to the software we already use?

Usually. Most accounting, project management and estimating platforms expose an API, and where one does not, structured import and export gets the job done. We confirm integration feasibility during scoping, before you commit to a price.

We are a small shop. Is custom software overkill?

Sometimes, and we will say so. If an off-the-shelf product genuinely solves your problem, we would rather point you at it than sell you a build. Custom makes sense when your process is a real competitive advantage, or when the off-the-shelf options would force you to work in a way that costs you more than it saves.
