An engineer who writes software
Ramos Technology Solutions exists because the people who understand construction and facilities rarely write code, and the people who write code have rarely set foot on a jobsite.
The gap this practice fills
Almost every contractor and property management firm runs at least one critical process on a spreadsheet held together by one person's memory. It is not incompetence — it is what happens when the available software was designed by people who have never assembled a closeout package or chased a submittal through three rounds of review.
The same gap shows up in marketing. Firms selling websites to contractors often cannot tell the difference between a mechanical sub and a general contractor, so the sites they build speak to nobody in particular and produce work accordingly.
The background
Ramos Technology Solutions is led by Rob Ramos, a mechanical engineer with an EIT and professional experience in MEP design and applications engineering. Alongside that, a decade of building working software: equipment and O&M documentation automation, barcode-driven inventory tracking, project management tooling and workflow systems.
That combination is the whole proposition. On a call with an operations manager, there is no translation layer. You will not be explaining what a submittal is, why the closeout matters, or what happens when the controls contractor is late. You will be correcting details.
How we work
- Fixed price, fixed scope. Hourly billing rewards inefficiency and invites you to audit our time instead of judging the result.
- Phased delivery with sign-off. You see working software early rather than a demo at the end.
- You own everything. Code, data and documentation are yours, with a handover guide so another developer could pick it up.
- We price against the labor eliminated. If we cannot show a payback inside roughly eighteen months, we will tell you not to build it.
- We say no. To work outside our competence, to systems that should be bought rather than built, and to services we would resent delivering.
What we are not
Not a marketing agency, not a staffing firm, and not an enterprise software vendor. We do not run social media accounts or produce podcasts. We are a small practice that builds a specific kind of thing for a specific kind of business, and we would rather be the obvious right answer for a narrow set of problems than a plausible option for everything.

About working with us
Who actually does the work?
Rob Ramos. Ramos Technology Solutions is a small, deliberately focused practice rather than an agency with account managers between you and the person building the thing. Specialist subcontractors are brought in for production work such as video editing, and you will always know when that happens.
What is your engineering background?
A mechanical engineering degree, an EIT, and professional experience spanning MEP design and applications engineering. That means specifications, submittals, equipment schedules and sequences of operations are familiar territory, not something we have to research before a meeting.
Do you work outside the Los Angeles Basin?
For software and documentation work, yes — that is delivered remotely regardless of geography. For local SEO and lead systems we concentrate on the LA Basin and North Orange County, because local search work is genuinely better when you know the market.
What kind of work do you turn down?
Social media management and podcast production, because both are daily commitments that deserve someone whose whole job they are. We also decline custom software when an off-the-shelf product would solve the problem, and we will say so rather than sell you a build you do not need.
